It can be quite hard to work out sometimes if you are having a gut instinct about something or experiencing fear in your belly. Have you ever had those times when you need to make a decision or a choice between two things? Not always so easy. What do you do when making decisions?
It can be stressful as we endeavor to make the right choice and the more we analyse it with our minds, the more paralyzed we can become. You might be a whizz at knowing exactly what to do all of the time, but for most of us, when it comes to decision time, we can get stuck in the mind frenzy that comes with making a choice.
What if I make the wrong choice? What if I make the right choice but later regret it?
Here is how I make a decision…
I write down my first gut instinct – yes/no. I do this because I can forget my gut instinct as other people start to give me advice and my mind starts its rabbit talk. Then the whole decision making process gets complicated. I keep coming back to the paper that I wrote my gut instinct on and remembering that was the answer, EVEN if it sounds crazy!
I also notice what my body says. Do I feel tension or a sense of release when I think about my choices.? If I feel tension about a decision it usually means NOT to do it. Making the right choice makes me feel a glimmer of empowerment and yes, I can feel fear doing it, but it FEELS right. Doing something that is not right for me usually results in stomach pains and trips to the toilet! The more you tune into your own body and its unique way of talking to you, making decisions will become easier.
If tuning into my body feels too difficult, then I turn to the Tarot cards. They ALWAYS give me the right guidance, even if sometimes I do not want to hear it. Barbara Moore, Tarot Reader and Teacher shares a great tarot spread that she uses for making decisions. I often turn to it in stressful times.

I have many stories of my gut instinct being correct. So much so that my hubby now knows never to ignore it. We ignored it in the past, and boy did we suffer! The more I honor and respect my intuitive gut instinct, the louder and more clear she speaks to me. Then I need the Tarot cards less or I do a spread simply to confirm what I already know.
Marie Forleo (entrepreneur and philanthropist) made a great video about how to know the difference between fear and intuition. I highly recommend watching it.
