Do you know those times when you have to make an important choice and it can feel confusing and even shaky? The mind gets in the way and it’s hard to hear that quiet knowing voice inside? Your intuition sits back quietly while your mind gets louder and louder and louder until you become obsessed about this choice you have to make.
This is the time to pull out the Tarot cards!
Today I had to make a decision. I was starting to obsess about it and dream about it. Ironically I had not pulled cards on the whole situation. Ever hear the expression, ‘The shoemaker goes barefoot’?
So I got my trusted Tarot deck and I sat quietly. I asked a very focused direct question and the answer and the energy was very clear. The answer also REMINDED me of my intuitive insight about the choice when it was first presented to me. The cards indicated that my choice would be correct and following the correct path. Such huge relief afterwards and a chuckle to myself about why I did not pull out my Tarot cards sooner.
Wow – I love the Tarot.
So what about you? Do you have shaky times? Times where you need to make decisions? This path or that path? Let one thing go to move into something new? Or you are presented with two options and one must be chosen?
Yes? OK here is what you do….
Create a quiet time and space for yourself. Give yourself at least twenty minutes. Light a candle and ask the universe to help you connect to your highest self. Take some deep breaths. When you are ready shuffle your cards. Think about the choices you have to make. Bring clearly into your mind one choice and ask the question…
Is THIS the best choice for me at this time?
Pull three cards and see what the answer is. Do not put the cards back in because you are going to move onto the next choice. Again bring clearly into your mind the other choice and ask the questions…
Is THIS the best choice for me at this time?
Pull three cards and see what the answer is. (If you have more than two choices I would suggest taking a photograph of the cards and returning them to the deck and shuffling well before pulling for new choices).
When all the choices have been mentioned you can look at the cards and compare. Before you even start to interpret them, just gaze over them. Which choice seems lighter, easy, flowing? The cards will seem brighter and clearer. Which choice seems more heavy and hard? The cards may seem more dark and ominous. How does your body respond when you look at the choices? Does your body feel more relaxed with one choice while the other makes you feel tense and afraid?
Now look at the cards. On a superficial level we can decide that Major cards will be a stronger energy whether that energy is yes or no. More positive Major Arcana cards for me would be a big yes – such as the Sun or the World. Cards that are perceived by you as negative would mean that choice is negative.
If you are STILL confused and feel the cards are not helping you, then it means you are too emotional to read the message being given. Then it may be wiser to seek help from a good Tarot professional.
Good luck with your decision making.
Tarot tip: Do not be frightened if the Death or Tower card comes up. They both represent in their own way ‘change’ and just symbolize that this will happen because of your choice. Obviously the Tower will be a dramatic change and you need to decide if you can emotionally handle. To make a choice means to be active, not passive and we need to understand that this means change will occur. Over the years I see these cards come up again and again and they are not necessarily a ‘bad thing’.
